The Old Rectory supports service users with predominately higher dependency and staffing needs, including Aspergers syndrome, and challenging behaviours.
Within the home we have an on-site day-care facility, comprising a specifically converted room where service users undertake project work. We also offer a training kitchen for service users to build and improve their independence skills, and a spa bath to help service users unwind and relax.
The Old Rectory promotes independent living within the scope of each service user’s ability. All programmes and activities are structured to meet individual needs and our close proximity to Bendalls Farm makes it very easy for service users to access the farm opportunities.
The home is registered for ten persons with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The age range is 18 to 65 and our registration category is LD (learning difficulties) with a variation in category to include mental health needs.
The Old Rectory is a large detached, three storey, Grade II listed property set in grounds which include a large car park and large secluded garden. Eight of the ten rooms have separate lounge and bedroom areas, generating more freedom and privacy for service users. We also benefit from a self contained flat within the unit, complete with kitchenette. This has been very successful in meeting the needs of individuals who have been unsuccessful in supported living style placements.
Located approximately 5 miles from the historic market city of Wells and 17 miles from Bristol City centre, The Old Rectory is within easy reach of Bendalls Farm day-care provision.
