Cypress Lodge

Cypress Lodge caters for service users whose needs are less physically dependant but who require a higher degree of emotional support and social skills training. Cypress Lodge is able to provide a home for service users who display inappropriate and challenging behaviours.

The home was first opened in 1999 and is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for ten persons. The age range is 18 to 65 and our registration category is LD (learning difficulties) with a variation in category to include mental health needs. The registration certificate also includes Willow Cottage which is on the same site.  Willow Cottage  opened in 2000 and is registered for four persons.

Cypress Lodge encourages independent living within the scope of the service user’s ability and pace. The home endeavours to create a ‘needs led’ package of care, allowing service users to take part in a wide range of structured activities and programmes. This creates a more independent environment for our service users.

All service users’ needs are met in a friendly and efficient way.We strive to preserve and maintain their dignity, individuality and privacy, and we are sensitive to their ever changing needs.

A wide range of activities are organised by staff on a daily basis and service users are encouraged to pursue their own hobbies and interests. In addition we have very successful links with South Bristol College and service users have access to our extensive day-care provision.
