“From Scratch” Cooking
The “From Scratch” cooking group have been harvesting ingredients from our vegetable plot to produce delicious healthy meals:
Flower bed construction
Service Users at The Mendip Centre groups have been busy constructing a flower garden to attract bees, and to provide a quiet area for people to sit and enjoy the aromas and colours of the flowers:
Mendip Centre look-out point bench construction -
Some Mendip Centre group members have been constructing a bench at the look-out point, so that people can safely sit down under the shade of the trees and view the Farm grounds:
Mendip Centre group members have been putting the recently built Potting Shed to good use replanting nasturtiums:

Service Users have been helping to keep our poly tunnels weed free. Our potato crop has been huge this year. Our Cooking Group and our residential homes will be able to make chips, roasters and mash in abundance:
Quantock Centre group members have been enjoying themselves while keeping our pigs, ponies and goats clean, fed and watered. The ponies also enjoyed a nice shampoo!
Sat, 1st June 2019 - Day Services Update - June 2019
Service Users at the Blackdown Centre have been busy creating artworks in the Arts & Crafts sessions and Chilled Art session, and enjoying hair weaving activities in The Hub.
The Craftshed Group have been busy preparing for their next Market Stall, cleaning and counting stock items, wrapping glassware in bubble wrap and enjoying a nice cup of tea at a local café.
The Farm Rovers group have been helping out in the vegetable plot. Blooming Great!!
The From Scratch cooking group have once again produced a delicious meal from basic ingredients.
Here they are focused on stirring the pot. Don’t let that burn now!
Service Users at the Mendip Centre have been getting stuck into composting the vegetable plot, taking pride in their hedge laying skills, woodworking and building bird boxes, carrying out footpath maintenance in the vegetable plot and weaving beautiful willow hurdles for fencing.
Service Users at the Quantock Centre have been carrying out the essential daily animal husbandry tasks - egg collecting, grooming the ponies, mucking out the stables and “poo picking” - which is then used for compost on the vegetable plot.
Our goats always take a keen interest in our activities and like to get involved.

The Mendip group
The Mendip group have been preparing hanging baskets for the farm.
The Horticulture session. Levelling ground for planting. Planted flowers “blooming great!”
Mendip “upcycled woodwork”. Making bird boxes and bee hotels using our new “Jig” system.
The Quantock group

Staff and a service users’ hard selling products on the stall at the “Bruton pack horse fair”. We managed to sell a total of £162.00 worth of wares.
