Events at Cypress Lodge
Tue, 1st January 2019 - Cypress Lodge Update - January 2019
A lovely moment pictured at Willow Cottage where we engaged in Arts and Crafts.
We had the wonderful Christmas present of 2 new Flats. Our Service Users have been enjoying the privacy and comfort of their own kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom.
We can see how happy they are in the pictures and how they have personalised their space.
Our guys like to visit Day Services and they go regularly to do some work: Animal Care, helping in the Office and sometimes doing some Crafting.
Here we are making bird feeders, and they love making them as much as the birds eating them.

Sing along Aladdin for Christmas:
We had a lovely play at Cypress Hub and we enjoyed the adventures of Aladdin and the magic lamp.
Everybody from Bradbury house came over and more from other sites like from the Old Rectory.
We sang, we danced and we laughed a lot and at the end of the play we all sang lots of Christmas songs.
Christmas at Cypress Lodge:
Christmas came and lifted everybody’s spirits. We had a great time at Cypress. It is not common to see everybody sitting together for lunch and getting along so well, sharing jokes and food and smiling so much.
Christmas carols were sung. Everyone got lots of presents which were opened together. The rest of the day carried on with peace and joy and we watched movies and played board games until late.
Some people reckon it has been the best Christmas so far.
Time for the theatre:
Cypress Lodge has been to the theatre this month. In the picture we went to see Cinderella and it was great fun.
We are glad to announce that the refurbishing work has finished for the first phase of this project and we have now two new amazing flats.
The photos do not do justice to how nice they are. Thank you to the Maintenance Team for your great job!
Christmas at Small Strides:
Some Service Users go to Small Strides to care for horses and to learn everything about them. Of course this season had to be celebrated and we took the horses for a walk. Nice costume “Jojo”!
Thu, 1st November 2018 - Cypress Lodge Update - November 2018
Leaves are invading every corner of Cypress Lodge in this time of the year but we work hard to keep the place tidy.
We enjoy nature and animals and also being involve the community so we attend other places apart from Bradbury House Day Services Farm, to visit animals and learn more things about them. In the pictures, we are learning how to put the saddle on a horse.
Work at the Office
Our office at the Farm’s day Service is busy and needs extra help with shredding, tiding up, cleaning and sometimes doing crafts like new no smoking signs. But there is also time to enjoy a cuppa and play with the fish.
