About Bradbury House

The Bradbury House Organisation was founded in January 1992 by proprietor Nick Bradbury and has become an established, high quality care provider for adults with learning disabilities.

Our aim is to enable service users to live within a community setting and for them to benefit from living as a valued member of a family, which is both sympathetic to their individual needs and encourages them to progress and succeed with their own aims and objectives.

We offer high quality residential and day care provision for adults with a range of learning disabilities; autism, mental health needs, associated behavioural difficulties and forensic histories.

Bradbury House comprises six residential homes offering 66 beds in and around Bristol, Wells, Cheddar and Weston-super-Mare.  Each home has a dedicated team of staff providing care and support 24 hours a day.  All our managers are qualified to NVQ Level 4 and have  many years experience in adult residential care.

Day care opportunities are available at our two purpose-built day care centres, one in Brislington and the other on our own farm near Wells.  This 250 acre farm has been specifically designed to accommodate the needs of our service users and offers a range of outdoor activities and educational courses, primarily concerning horticulture, agriculture and animal care.

Bradbury House is committed to staff training and development. Our support staff have are required to undertake the Learning Disabilities Qualification (LDQ) at induction and Foundation levels.
